Call to Order

 

Mayor Elmslie called the Meeting to order at 9:01 p.m. Deputy Mayor T. Richardson and Councillors D. Joyce, C. McDonald, E. Smeaton, and P. Warren were in attendance.

Absent: Councillors R. Ashmore, M. Perry, E. Yeo

CAO R. Taylor, Deputy Clerk J. Watts, Directors S. Beukeboom, C. Faber, R. Holy, B. Robinson, J. Rojas, and C. Shanks, Fire Chief T. Jones, Paramedic Chief S. Johnston, Senior Management Team Members C. Davidson, L. Patterson, B. Stonehouse, and Strategy Planning Team Members S. Babcock, C. Briggs, R. Cowieson, and M. Norman were also in attendance in the Victoria Room.

Strategic Planning Session 2024-2027 - Meeting #1
Ron Taylor, Chief Administrative Officer
Brenda Stonehouse, Strategy and Performance Specialist

CAO R. Taylor introduced the Strategic Planning Session for today and highlighted an overview of the Strategic Planning Process including:

  • Introductions with warm-up and working agreement for the session;
  • Environmental scan (reviewing Political, Economic, Social and Technological issues);
  • Overview of current plan; and
  • Next steps in the process.

The working session was lead by CAO R. Taylor and the strategy planning facilitators, B. Stonehouse, M. Norman, S. Babcock, C. Briggs, and R. Cowieson.

The meeting recessed at 10:40 a.m. and reconvened at 10:50 a.m.
