Mayor Letham called the meeting to order at 1:04 p.m. with the following members present:

Deputy Mayor O’Reilly, Councillor Seymour-Fagan, Councillor Veale, B. Alfredsson, T. Phillips, J. Quast, M. Wilson, Director Marshall, Director Rojas

    That the agenda be adopted as circulated.

There were no declarations of pecuniary interest disclosed.

    That the minutes of the Economic Recovery Task Force meeting held on December 8, 2020, be adopted as circulated.

Mayor Letham provided an update on the recommendations that the task force had submitted to council in November, 2020.

Council Resolution CW2020-164

That an increase in garbage cans and frequency of waste pick up in our downtowns and major parks be costed and included as a decision unit in the 2021 budget. This was approved in the 2021 operating budget.  The task force was requested to provide more details on this resolution.

A discussion took place regarding enhanced service in downtown and major parks.  Consensus among the task force members was that there is a need for an and washroom facilities.

Staff to take input from the Task Force and develop a program for Summer 2021.

A discussion on encouraging consumer confidence was held and referred to Staff.

Mayor Letham provided an update on the action plan.
