Mayor Letham called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. with the following members present:

Deputy Mayor O'Reilly, Councillor Veale, Councillor Seymour-Fagan, B. Alfredsson, T. Phillips, M. Wilson, Director Marshall, Director Rojas.

Draft minutes from the October 13, 2020 Economic Recovery Task Force Meeting

Downtown projects in both Lindsay and Fenelon Falls have been approved by council in the 2021 capital budget.

Director Rojas updated the task force committee on development projects moving forward in the near future.

The planning application internal reference spreadsheet and concierge report was discussed.

E. Turner has been doing a great job so far leading the concierge program.

Mayor Letham provided an update on the recommendations that the task force had submitted to council.

The task force will continue in 2021.

An update about the Food Hub and moving it to a new level to come to the committee in early 2021.

Thanks to staff for their work, to the public for their feedback and to council for moving things forward. A job well done.

People's Economy

The correspondence had originally gone to council and was then referred on to the task force.

Discussion took place after review of the People's Economy correspondence.

The Jump In Kawartha Lakes platform was reviewed.

Discussion took place regarding a Food Hub and the need to expand production. Kawartha Lakes has an agriculture and food strategy with a large focus around a food hub. More background work will be done and brought back to the task force in 2021.
