The Community Downtown Revitalization Updates are an opportunity for each community to identify the current priorities and projects in the community, acknowledge any challenges that are being faced with implementing their plans. An opportunity to collaborate and offer support to one another.

Coboconk - Norland: Cottage community is starting to come more regularly, with the Provincial direction most are bringing their food and supplies from their home and not stopping at local businesses. Recent Provincial Shutdown has been a challenge for businesses. Anchor business in Norland closing in May. Moving forward on some beautification and socially distanced activities: Lions Park geese deterrent work, Norland Days event celebrating the diversity of businesses with a number of prizes for the winners.

Lindsay: Still in the midst of construction. BIA remains active in supporting membership. Provincial Shutdown proving to be a challenge. Intend on bringing events back when permitted, likely in 2022.

Fenelon Falls: Downtown currently under construction. Businesses are finding the combination of construction and the Provincial Shutdown very challenging. Looking forward to increased visitors throughout the summer if permitted. The Grove Theater will be available for rentals beginning in July.

Mayor Letham: There will be a student ambassador program to help out in Downtowns, major parks, boat launches and increased support for waste collection and washrooms. Still defining the details of this program. The City did not receive Connecting Link funding for Omemee, for 2021/22 projects.
