2017 Annual Report Presentation

Kerri conducted a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the 2017 Annual Report for the Fenelon Landfill. PRC members asked questions relating to the report.

Fenelon PRC Terms of Reference

Staff and the committee went reviewed and discussed the new changes to the Fenelon PRC Terms of Reference.

Public Comment Period

Julia spoke about a new recycling initiative she is working with the Parks Department on to improve recycling and waste diversion at the Fenelon Falls Beach. Staff and the committee support Julia in this endeavor.

Mike asked a question regarding the Fenelon redesign and if it would be more ideal to elevate the waste mound higher with a steeper slope to help with drainage rather than flattening the top of the waste mound. Staff raised issues of getting this approved by the MECP as well as erosion issues but will reach out to WSP to inquire more about this.

The PRC thanked Shayne Hartin and wished him luck in the future.
