Details will be circulated to the committee and staff in the near future.

B. Condie advised that contact was made with Engineering regarding the downtown and trip hazards. Engineering has advised that the holes around the trees will be filled with mulch and compacted in the immediate time and that a second layer of pavement is yet required on the road surface. Completion of these items and more associated with the project are scheduled for summer 2021. B. Condie expressed appreciation for the addition of the cross walk at the pharmacy in downtown Lindsay.

Discussion ensued around the lack of parking and the need for traffic calming in and around Logie Park.

B. Condie continued by advising that arrangements are being made with Thea Kurdi, Vice President of DesignAble Environments to provide two virtual workshops in the near future. Staff responsible for coordinating new build and retrofit projects involving City facilities and public spaces have been canvassed and have expressed strong interest in the workshops.

Cheri Davidson, Manger of Communications will be in attendance for the next meeting of the Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Advisory Committee scheduled for November 25, 2020. C. Davidson will provide a presentation on the "Jump In" platform. B. Condie stated that the platform could be of great benefit to the committee as a public outreach and project collaboration tool.

The November meeting will also report on work plan achievements and goals for 2021 in preparation for presentation to Council in January. B. Condie will coordinate meetings with the Public Awareness and Public Spaces Working Groups to discuss and prepare.

The Clerk's Office is in receipt of a resignation from member Scott Howard. A letter expressing appreciation for his participation will be sent. B. Condie encouraged those members if their terms do expire on December 31st, 2020 to re-apply by 4:30 p.m. on November 13, 2020 for seats on the committee. B. Condie also asked members to share that the City is currently seeking new members and to make contact if they wish assistance or have questions about the application process.

The Public Awareness Group would like to continue to remind businesses and the public about nominations for the 2021 Accessibility Awards. The nomination form is available on the City Website. Should anyone have any questions regarding the nomination process they are asked to contact B. Condie. Councillor Elmslie provided information on the Pandemic Recovery Task Force and the Economic Recovery Task Force encouraging not for profits, business and organizations to make contact regarding necessary funding for Pandemic relief. If assistance is required they are urged to register on the City's website and the committees will be in touch.

In the absence of A. O'Bumsawin, B. Condie advised site plans continue to be reviewed and comments provided. The information shared with the developers have been well received.

S. Coupland departed the meeting at 1:55 p.m.

Councillor Elmslie provided a brief update stating that we are still in Pandemic Mode, focusing on keeping everyone safe and following COVID-19 Health Measures. Downtown Lindsay will be completed in 2021 and Fenelon Falls will be commencing in 2021 with improvements and upgrades to the downtown. Work has started on the washrooms at Garnet Graham Park.
