Lindsay Ops Landfill MECP Inspection Report

Staff and the PRC reviewed the MECP inspection report for the inspection on February 6, 2019 at the Lindsay Ops Landfill. Staff specifically listed the action items from the inspection report and the City's response and follow up to these items. The PRC provided questions and comments on the inspection report.

Waste Strategy Survey and Public Meeting Activity
 

Staff read through the draft survey that will be available to the public in May regarding feedback on the Integrated Waste Management Strategy update. The PRC made suggestions on a few changes to better clarify the questions.

 

The PRC then participated in a brainstorming activity that staff are planning on conducting at a public meeting this summer. The activity asks for suggestions on waste management programs that should start, stop, and continue. The overall consensus from the group was that more public education should be a primary focus of the Integrated Waste Management Strategy update.
