Paul Mulholland from WSP conducted a PowerPoint presentation on a future design for the Fenelon Landfill. This design would have the site continue to operate after final closure of the landfill as a transfer station. The PRC made comments and asked questions.

Staff discussed a routine inspection by the MOECP of the Fenelon Landfill on June 21, 2018. When staff receives the final report from the MOECP they will provide this information to the PRC.

Staff discussed a proposal that was brought to the City by Talize for a textile recycling program. Staff will continue to do research on Talize as well as other companies and bring recommendations to the new council in 2019.

Staff and the PRC discussed a recent report that was brought to council on reducing the number of committees and the possibility of combining the Linday Ops and Fenelon Landfill PRCs. Staff and the PRC both recommend that the committees do not amalgamate. Combining the two committees would likely need MOECP approval.
