Mayor Letham called the Meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Deputy Mayor P. O'Reilly and Councillors R. Ashmore, P. Dunn, D. Elmslie, T. Richardson, A. Veale and E. Yeo were in attendance in Council Chambers.

Councillor K. Seymour-Fagan was in attendance electronically.

CAO R. Taylor, City Clerk C. Ritchie, Deputy Clerk S. O'Connell, Deputy Clerk J. Watts, Director J. Stover  and Treasurer C. Daynes were also in attendance in Council Chambers.

Directors B. Robinson, J. Rojas, C. Shanks, R. Sutherland, Acting Director R. Holy, City Solicitor R. Carlson, Fire Chief T. Jones and Paramedic Chief R. Mellow were in attendance electronically.

Verbal Update on Ontario Community Infrastructure ("OCIF") Funding
Jennifer Stover, Director of Corporate Services

Director Stover advised that Staff are anticipating an Ontario Community Infrastructure ("OCIF") funding announcement from the Province.  Staff will report back once the announcement has been made to advise how that funding announcement will impact the City of Kawartha Lakes.

    That verbal update from Director Stover, regarding Ontario Infrastructure ("OCIF") Funding, be received; and

2022 Proposed Operating Budget

Council received an overview of the 2022 Proposed Operating Budget for each Division.

Director Sutherland noted, during the overview of the Human Services Division, that additional funding for Childcare Programs has been received to offset the $90,023.00 that is noted as being required through Tax Support (page 139 of the 2022 Proposed Budget Book).

    That Staff provide a Report on the 2022 donation and hospital funding request through a 2023 budget decision unit for consideration of the future Council.
