Co-Chair Heather Kirby called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m.  

Councillor Ashmore, Councillor Dunn, Councillor Elmslie, Rod Sutherland Director Human Services, Penny Barton Dyke Executive Director, United Way City of Kawartha Lakes, Marina Hodson Executive Director, Kawartha North Family Health Team, Heather Kirby Executive Director, Kawartha Lakes Food Source, Lynda Nydam Executive Director, Children’s Service Council, Pam Stuckless Director Health Promotion Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit were in attendance.

City Staff in attendance: Jamie Anderson CEO Kawartha Lakes Public Library, Barb Condie Accessibility Officer,  Holly Russett Executive Assistant Human Services, Brenda Stonehouse Strategy and Innovation Specialist.

Regrets: Fire Chief Mark Pankhurst (retired), Councillor Richardson, Amy Terrill Executive Director, Kawartha Lakes Boys and Girls Club, Shelley Cooper Community Partnership.

Brenda Stonehouse reviewed the survey results, 13 responses were received. Sharing a high level view of each question and the collective answers using charts and graphs to better show the trends and needs of the agencies that participated.

Rod had a conversation with the CEO and Mayor in regards to 'Where the Task Forces' go from here. The Community Pandemic Recovery Task Force has a specific term as outlined in the Terms of Reference with an initial end date of December 31, 2021. The City is operationally moving into Pandemic Recovery mode over the next couple months. With the primary activities of both Task Forces completed to-date, the Mayor is requesting an overview summary presentation from both Task Forces outlining overall activities and outcomes and a summary of the funded grants, to Council for the October 5th Committee of the Whole meeting.

Rod, Brenda, Amy, Heather to meet in August for a planning discussion to review for the October presentation.

Heather reported there is no update since the last meeting for the Funding Working Group and the summary of the survey results covers the update of the Gaps Working Group.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., electronic participation.
