Mayor Letham called the Meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. Deputy Mayor T. Richardson and Councillors R. Ashmore, P. Dunn, D. Elmslie, P. O'Reilly, K. Seymour-Fagan, A. Veale and E. Yeo were in attendance.

CAO R. Taylor, City Clerk C. Ritchie, Deputy Clerk S. O'Connell, Deputy Clerk J. Watts, Directors R. Holy, B. Robinson, J. Rojas, C. Shanks and Fire Chief T. Jones were also in attendance in Council Chambers.

​The Meeting was opened with the singing of 'O Canada'.

    That PLAN2022-064 respecting Application D05-2022-003 be referred back to staff to address any issues raised through the public consultation process and for further review and processing until such time that all comments have been received from all circulated agencies and City Departments, and that any comments and concerns have been addressed.

Overview of the Victoria County Disaster Trust Fund Committee

Andrew Rafton, Former Chair, Victoria County Disaster Trust Fund Committee

Andrew Rafton, Sharon McCrae and Doug Erlandson provided an overview the Victoria County Disaster Trust Fund Committee. The overview provided detail surrounding the history of the Committee including how the Committee was formed, how funds were raised to support the operation of the Committee and how the efforts of volunteers assisted community members in their hour of need. It was announced that Committee made the difficult decision to disband due to ongoing challenges that they have faced.  A Place Called Home will now be the stewards of the services that were provided by the Victoria County Disaster Trust Fund Committee and the Committee will be donating the balance of their operating funds, being $98,000.00, to A Place Called Home to support that endeavor.

Mayor Letham expressed words of appreciation to the former Victoria County Disaster Trust Fund Committee for their contribution to the community.

Overview of Council Accomplishments 2018-2022

Ron Taylor, Chief Administrative Officer

CAO Taylor provided an overview of the accomplishments that were achieved during the 2018-2022 term of Council.  The overview included words of appreciation for the leadership that council provided as the municipality navigated through the COVID-19 Pandemic. Mayor Letham offered words of appreciation for the outgoing members of council. Mayor Letham also recognized Councillor Yeo, Councillor Dunn and Councillor O'Reilly for their many years of service as a member of council.
